I apologize to all of those who were hoping to buy a Pawblo painting as a gift for the holidays and have been deterred by the rush fee. I do offer gift certificates!
Sure... I understand why a piece of paper is far less appealing than a finished painting, BUT, hear me out.... this is why it is BETTER:
1. It's hard to get good photos while being sly about it.
I've brainstormed a lot about ways to be sly about getting a pet photo from a friend or relative. It's too hard to do it without raising any suspicion. Especially if the photos you get are really bad quality and I request you to get more. Now you've asked your sister twice for photos of your dog so that you can hang them up in your office... That's not weird right?
2. Even if you get photos they may not be the best.
You have one shot at this painting and you really want to make sure it's the best photo. You may have the painting and realize over time that you had so many other photos that may have worked MUCH better than the one you chose. Don't live the rest of your life in regret!
3. Let the person who knows the dog best pick out the photo.
Their favorite photos of the dog (or cat or hedgehog or iguana... etc.) may not be the best photo for a portrait. Allow them to make the true considerations. The process is really exciting and I can involve them in that if you give them a gift certificate.
4. The process is really fun!
If you're giving this to your significant other, you can work to get the perfect photo of your pet together! This can be a gift for the whole family and you can all work together to give your input. If you're giving it to a friend or family member that doesn't live close by, use this as an opportunity to to collaborate on something over the distance and bring you closer together (figuratively).
5. It's the gift that keeps on giving!
I have a lot of fun things you can order with the image of your pet portrait. Have you seen my throw pillows? There are iPhone cases, laptop and ipad skins, greeting cards, t-shirts, and tote bags. Is your brother's birthday only a couple months after xmas? Buy him an iPhone case of the painting you bought him for Christmas! Done!
PLEASE consider buying a gift certificate for the holiday season. Email me for more info: pawblopicasso@gmail.com
